We will be cruising all day today on our way to Alexandria, Egypt. It will be our last day of rest until November 7th, when we will cruise back to Athens.
Ordinarily that would make this a relaxing day. We managed to fill it with things to do. Alice worked on updating her cruise notes, brought her accounting for our expenses up to date, and had an acupuncture treatment. I brought this blog up to date and started organizing/deleting photos.
We both attended a destination lecture. It turned out to be more historical than current. It offered little about what to expect in Egypt tomorrow.
We also attended a class on smartphone photography presented by the ship’s photographer, Konstantine.
Of course we also ate. The food selection has been varied and all is delicious. We had an unexpected surprise at dinner. Kenneth, our waiter on the first cruise was still here. His contract has come to an end and he had been told to pack to fly home from Egypt tomorrow. We had said our goodbyes at the end of the last cruise. Today he was asked to extend his contract for another month.
We had talked with him about this possibility. He told us that as long as he will be home for Christmas he would extend. He is happy for the earnings opportunity. We are happy because he is very nice and an excellent waiter. Smiles all around.

Tomorrow we will dock in Alexandria, Egypt. Our 13 hour tour departs at 6:30. We skipped the entertainment.
GOOD NIGHT!
