This is our last sea day
before arriving in La Possession in the nation of Reunion. In addition to our
lecture routine I had to spend some time with the Future Cruise Consultant,
Larry. Alice and I have decided to book the two cruises on the Maasdam for
January to March of 2019. I visited Larry last Friday to confirm the terms.
This included standard credits plus promotional credits for booking onboard, an
offer expiring at the end of this month. We were able to book the same cabin
for both cruises. We are now booked for 81 days of cruising in Southeast Asia,
Indonesia, New Guinea and Australia next winter.
This was not to be our
only expenditure today. We also bought a bottle of “gold”. Alice has succumbed
to the rash of coughers and sneezers. With a sore throat and cough it was time
to get some medicine. The liquor store onboard also sells Nyquil. At $18 for a small bottle it is gold.
Personally I think scotch would have been cheaper and more effective. At least
she is responding to the Nyquil. This was a small price to pay for her quick
recovery.
