February 28, 2020 - Friday
Azamara Quest Cape Town to Athens
Cruise Day 9 - Sea Day

Pictures to follow with better internet

Neyon was all smiles when he greeted us for breakfast in Windows. He did not comment on it, but we could tell he received our comments.

We still cannot serve ourselves, but the breakfast selection is still very good. The servers do not skimp on portions. The quality is great. We have not tried the smoothie bar yet. After studying their menu we will give it a go tomorrow.

At 10:00 I attended the lecture on our upcoming ports Reunion and Mauritius. It was a historical presentation. I had hoped to learn more about what the current situation is. What is the economy like? Is there a wide disparity between the rich, the middle class and the poor? What does the future look like.

Alice planned on attending a weaving class at 12:30 so we decided to try the light fare in the Living Room for lunch. The tiny sandwiches were quite enough.

She made it to her class on time and I remained in the Living Room with my laptop to work on the blog.

At 2:00 I went to Cabaret Lounge for another presentation by Greg Redfern. Today the topic was the observatory and telescope at Mount Palomar in California. Greg had a great slide presentation as a result of his having spent 3 days inside the observatory some years ago. He showed and explained the making of the 40 ton 200 inch mirror.
