August 17 & 18, 2023 - Sea Days

August 17 AND 18, 2023 - Thursday & FRIDAY - Sea Days

As our cruise draws near its end we have two sea days before our last stop in Skagan, Denmark.

Today we have used the time for me to work on this blog and bring it right up to date. Alice spent time writing our praises of the officers and crew. A barbecue by the officers had been planned for the pool deck. It was too cold for that so it was moved to the dining room. It was outstanding as was their service. Although the end is near, there is no let-up. Activities continue. And service seems to be stepped up a notch.

In between attending to very important matters like eating and attending lectures and shows we managed to complete most of our packing. This is very satisfying and makes for an easy day in port tomorrow. Our two large suitcases are packed and locked. The smaller bag is for incidentals and our last day of laundry. That will be easy to finish Saturday night. Dustin will pick up the bags at 10 PM.

We have to say that with all of the cruising we have done, we have never been made to feel as special as these folks make us feel. They do it not just for us, but for everyone. On Holland America where we have spent 585 days onboard, we were never treated as well as we have been here where we have fewer than 100 days. This treatment is not targeted here. It is universal on Azamara. Everybody benefits.
