January 25, 2016 - Day 21 - Sea Day

We are on our way to Rarotonga. Our routine is now firmly established. Up at 6:45 we do breakfast in the Lido before going to Mass. We would prefer breakfast in the dining room, but it does not open until after Mass. That is when we attend Good Morning Amsterdam. This is an interview show with the prior night's entertainer. Immediately following this is the 10:00 shore excursion or port lecture. At 11:00 it is a lecture by one of the two guest lecturers. Noon is lunch. Then Alice is off to a craft, and I try to do some reading before the other lecture at 2:00. I may skip this one depending on the topic. Alice fits in a computer class. Then she tries to catch up on her journal while I read some more. We change for dinner at 5:30. If so moved, we may attend Happy Hour between 4:30 and 5:30. We usually leave the dining room about 7:15. We have to get to the Queen's Lounge by 7:40 to get a decent set for the  8:15 show. Old people get to everything early. They force us to do the same, just to keep up. After the show, we are usually in bed by 10:00.

So, for all of you who can't imagine what we do all day, this is how it goes. I failed to mention that I generally get up about 4:30 and go to the Lido to read until 6:30. Then I return to the cabin to wake Alice as I shave and shower.

This is a typical sea day. I will only elaborate when something special occurs.
