August 4, Thursday - Nafplion, Greece 2 on 8/4/22
Today we visited Nafplion for the second time on this cruise. The first time here we purchased a Greek design pendant for Alice. Since then we have kicked ourselves for not buying matching earrings. We have been checking shops ever since with no luck finding a match.
We will try to find the original store and hope he still has a matching pair. We walked quite a way trying to retrace our steps without success. We were nearing the end of the shops area when we stopped to photograph a mosaic sign in front of a restaurant. It was surprising to find such a nice work out in the open.
While Alice was talking her pictures I noticed a shop across the street that I was pretty sure was the one we were looking for. While Alice finished I crossed over. Sure enough there was the pendant case with matching earrings. I went out and got Alice. I am sure Eduardo did not recognize us but he was as cordial as the last time. He gave us a good price and we were on our way.
As we walked back to the ship we passed a beautiful yacht. I’m sure this represents a multi-million dollar investment.
We had a delightful walk back to Oosterdam. Mission accomplished.
